Heres the scenario.
Got a new amp a few weeks back, but had limited use on my 360 since connecting the two together via optical cable (via a standard microsoft component cable going to TV/optical going direct to amp).
The 360 has ixtreme 1.6 on a Samsung drive in it.
I got bought a DJ Hero set for Christmas and trying it out this evening i found the following problem.
1. Turned on 360, 3 RROD appeared. Strange as the machine semed to sound ok as if it was loading ok.
2. Finally got it started up, and loaded the original DJ Hero original disc. Played it for about 30mins, until the game didnt seem to be working properly, it was playing fine, but it didnt let you play it properly (the coloured dots werent appearing).... so i thought something had crashed, so i went back to dashboard. Went to load DJ Hero up again and it got stuck loading, and kept the machine stuck at a black screen.
3. Restarting the 360 kept giving me 3RROD.... considered it may be the recent addition of the optical cable so pulled it out and it seems to start up without a problem now...however i cannot get DJ Hero to load, tested a backup of Wheelman and it worked fine. Thought maybe it had something to do with the ixtreme 1.6 not allowing DJ Hero to boot...but if that was so... why did it boot earlier fine?!
Any ideas what this could be?
