problem installing starpatch

hi

i recently installed the homebrew channel on my wii
and i wanted to install starpatched just in case i managed to brick
my wii

starpatch seemed to have a easy unbrick option,just push y on a gamecube
controller to get into recovery mode

but when i tried to install starpatch i get the message:

ios identify errorerror:

i selected several ios numbers but same message.

can anyone help me

Starfall was only working with 3.2 fw, which I'm still using but I beleive there is a newer version for 4.1, etc. http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-custom-software-hacks-applications/19964-starpatch-4-1-a.html

you also need a vulnerable IOS so if on 4.x you need to install an older IOS e.g. 30 (you have to download an install manually since the nintendo servers only have stubs now, I get mine of xbins).

its startpatch i saw there was a typo in the header

i have firmware 4.1 and you need to install 2 things.

A trucha enabled IOS 36 installed
and
cIOS rev12 or higher

i wanted a brick restore option,but by installing this you could brick your wii
before i have a restore option

so i leave it for now
