What have I to do when I want to mod my new WII.

I'm new in this. So a softmod would be absolut normal. If that would be enough!
So that Homebrew and backups work.
What have I to do to get it working?
Is it working on all Rev.?

What firmware did your Wii arrive with?

drive is in the Wii. Well is that neccessary for a softmod or is that not possible?

Get bannerbomb for your Wii firmware version http://bannerbomb.qoid.us/
Install bootmii with it http://bootmii.org/download/
Grab your homebrew and away you go.

Your drive revision is relevant because newer models prevent the loading of DVD backups forcing the use of a usb hard drive.
