4.2 problem

My brothers wii has been updated to 4.2, it has a wiinja deluxe chip, now I know 4.2 blocks other region games playing.

I ran bootmii and backed up his nand when he was on 3.2 and would just like to know if I did a nand restore would his system be just like it was when I backed it up or would the stub ios's that 4.2 installs create any problems?

It will restore your wii to how it was when you made the nand backup.

If its region free your after, why not try startpatch..

He phoned me saying he couldn't install wads which is when I found out he'd updated to 4.2, I tried the trucha bug restorer but had no luck so was just thinking that if I could restore the nand and have his wii exactly as it was with no problems then it'd probably be the best/easiest way to go.

edit>will probably put him up to 4.1, then add startpatch, thanks for the link.
