Modded console only originals and live

Hello everyone,

Someone with a modded console, never been online, wanted to use XBOX Live.

When this owner now decides only to play original games (throws his backups in the recycle bin), is there a possibility he got banned? Or must the original firmware be restored?

My question:
Is it possible to got banned when only playing original games in a modified console?

The firmware is detectable.
I would flash back to stock firmware and then try to get on live.

That's what everyone used to think, but it is not true. They can detect anything, even people who flashed back to stock after previously playing backups have been banned.

I'd probably flash it to LT. Seems like the safest bet.
