been playing the orange box which I purchased the retail game for £9.75 from a online store,
this game installs & runs on steam & I looked at some of the games that you can download on steam & what I thought would be a lot cheaper than actually purchasing the retail disc they actually are more expensive to download the game which is absurd, looked at modern warfare 2 & this is £39.99 to download this from steam I would of expected this to be at most in the low £20's,was gonna get the BFBC2 but this is still £34.99 to download (i dont get it),so pre-ordered from play.com for £26.99 which gives me early beta access code too,I could of got it a few quid cheaper too but play was the only store giving out beta codes,So happily I cant see digitally download taking off anytime soon in the near future & replacing owning retail discs, might work for music chart singles at a £1 a throw but not £30+ retail games
