Xbox 360 turns off after 40 minutes

I have fixed an xbox 360 that had three red lights but now i play the games for around 40 minutes and then the screen goes completely grey or black and nothing happens. I restart the xbox and it works fine again for another 40 minutes or so and does the same thing. The heatsinks are'nt very hot so it can't be overheating. I get no red lights at all always green. Any ideas?

I know it sounds daft but the parental timer isnt on is it?

No it isnt that but I was just going to try the heatgun method where you cover everything else with foil and heatgun the gpu. Im thinking maybe the fix is done but not enough for it to last.

It could just happened when you can played continue.So it might be very hot and it can not support and turn off.So put in cooling system.It will helpful to you.
