finally updated now i get error 8003200d

ok, so my ps3 isnt exactly the most popular entertainment item in the sastard household ;) but i booted it up yesterday and updated to the newest firmware (3.15 europe) now the whats new just sits there and says error 8003200d, is this to be expected or is there a fix for it?

its a launch 60gb machine running over a component cable if that makes any difference.

Ya, thats pretty common. To cure it unplug your HDMI cable, turn your system on and off 3 times in a row. Then re-connect your HDMI cable. Now check for updates. Thats it.

That's the only thing i could find, i don't really believe it.
Just backup your saves and format/restore.

yes, i found that one too ;)

only a few issues with that
1) supposedly thats only on slims
2) i'm not on hdmi (my 360 is using that) i'm on component
3) the next reply to the one you quoted said something about wearing ruby slippers and tapping the heels together 3 times whilst saying "theres no place like home" over the console had about as much chance of working:D

something is wrong because whilst everything else works just fine (tried resistance, battlefield both worked) but motorstorm grey's out "online" and attempting to connect claims "connection to server is lost" (it isnt because the kids are online on a wii and this laptop is also on the same network and working fine.

that said, thanks for taking the time to try to find something, guess i'll be calling customer (dis)service tomorrow/monday unless anyone else knows different.

Don't worry its something on the psn side of things as mine logs into psn but if I go into whats new it doesn't work and gives the same error code but can still get into psn store and get diner dash online modes. After checking it seems to point to server issues with Sony as only Sony first party titles I have tried are unable to go online. So wait and see is best for now.

you could be right, i tried again today and motorstorm got online but i could only play on the aus/nz server if i tried the eu server it couldnt connect and i did notice that eu.playstation was working either.
