Update required for Karaoke Revolution?

Hi guys,

I have a backup of Karaoke Revolution (the latest version) and when the disc is in the drive, the game channel shows that it requires a system update. My Wii is modded with a Wiikey 2 chip.

Has anyone encountered this before? What update is this? Is it something I can get from Nintendo instead of the disc?

I'd really like to avoid bricking my Wii, so any advice is appreciated.

I suggest if you can:
1. Install bootmii as boot2 and do a backup if you can
2. Install preloader or startpatch/starpatch and block updates.
3. Install any missing ios files using dop ios.
