Hello guys, Complete newbie
A friend of mine had softmodded my Wii for me, all is working fine, as he's not always around to ask him questions, i thought i would learn all about how you would softmod a Wii.
I have printed of most of the information on how to do this.
But for now, is there any information on how to use neo gammer, when you put a disk in.
Plus also, i have usb_loader_GX, can i copy a game that is on my usb drive to a blank disk in the wii. (any information on this)
I am just a bit lost on how to do these sort of things.
Thanks everyone

To run neogamma just use the homebrew channel. To get a game on a disc, on your pc install wbfs manager and plug in your HDD (dont format it) and use wbfs manager to copy it to your desktop to burn.

yes i have WBFS installed.
But i already have the iso image on my computer, thats how i got it on the usb drive, through wbfs.
So why do i have to copy it to the desktop again, when its already on the computer.
(HANG ON)
Are you talking about if i was copying an oringinal game to the usb flash or the EHDD.
(ie.. say i just got an oringinal game and inserted it into the Wii, i could copy this to the External hard drive or flash drive, then copy it back to the desktop using wbfs, and make a copy of it.
Its these things i am unsure of how to do.....:)

yes, usb loader GX and WBFS manager allow you to do that scenario. Just insert the game and run usb loader GX, a prompt should show up asking you to rip it, then you just use WBFS manager to extract it.
I thought you were going on about just wanting to rip it off the HDD to burn it.
what about neogamma do you not understand? also make sure to install CIOS if you havent.

Great tech, yes my mate did all this for me, but had to go back abroad, and basically i have got to find out how you manage to use these applications..

I believe you just insert the disc and run neogamma, but dont quote me on it because I dont use it.
CIOS- Custom ios- the Wii uses "IOS" files when running games, CIOS are modified IOS files designed to include new features e.g. run backups, usb loader.
trucha- the name of a flaw in the old firmware which allowed for patched discs to run, this has now be fixed as of system menu 3.3 but it can be patched back in.
What system menu are you on? Also, if you are using usb loader for games, I suggest using IOS 222/223 as its far more reliable.

Thankyou tech,
Noted that down for future reference.
Yes when my friend done this for me , he done it pritty quickly, he's gone back abroad now
So really i need to know most things, all of the information is out there, its just finding it, plus there are the forums.
My main worry is when i come to install IOSes or wads, and what happens if i have forgot what i've done, or make a mistake while doing these things, i would not know how to get out of it..........
But anyway i did manage to find this about neo gammer
22) After you download you wii game with your bittorrent client, extract it and you will have an iso.
23) Burn the iso file to a DVD-R with at least 4.7Gb of space or more (Less lag in games than DVD+R). I also recommend using Imgburn to burn your iso files.
24) After your game is on the DVD, put it in the wii and go to the Neogamma R7 Channel. You will then see a menu. Press A on "Launch Game on DVD" (If the game does not launch, go back to the Neogamma R7 menu and press A on "Region Options". Select you language by pressing the Right and Left buttons on the wiimote. After you select your language, press A on "Return to Menu" and then press A on "Launch Game on DVD" and you game should work perfectly.
