Any update on what's happening? A lot's happened in the world of gaming over the past few days, MC with its own clock bug?
EDIT: "March 3 2010 -- Please be patient with current loading times as we try to resolve some slow running queries with the new software. Hope to have issues resolved this evening. News will continue once speed issues are fixed!"
Well, that's that then.

Please be patient guys. There's a lot of strain involved in an upgrade like this. A goldfish and a man with a very large whip are working on it.. they both want to see things operational as much as you do.
There's not much point in posting more news right now, I have not spoken to anyone about it but i think we had a few news articles vanish earlier.

I just tried posting on the news from my ipod touch and find that I can't type, is this just me or is the site no longer compatible (with mobile safari)?

Phew, that was an interesting issue to fix. When all the old news articles were converted, I set the flag to enable comments. About 11,000 articles have the old comments linked to them, but the others that did not have a proper thread assigned ... well, each time a spider bot was crawling the old article it would create a new thread.
Long story short its fixed now, I hope :)

It could be the new WYSIYG editor is not compatible with mobile safari. At the top of the site where you sign in, you will see the 'Settings' link. Goto your settings page, on the left is a 'My Settings' column, goto 'General Settings'.
Scroll to the very bottom and look for 'Message Editor Interface', try standard editor first, and if not, try basic editor. Please let me know which ones work for you. Perhaps I can write a patch to detect browser and change editor type.

Apparently it wasnt just mobile safari, it's also happening in firefox on my computer whenever I try posting in the news section (though not the forums).
I tried all three options but it still happens.
