Activate Internet connection on softmodded Wii?

I've just softmodded my Wii on 4.2e. It's all gone well I've installed Priiloader and done a NAND backup and Uloader is running my backups from external HDD.

The problem is I have never activated the network connection. Now when I go to do it the Wii wants me to update and gives me the warning about unauthorised modifications.

I have blocked updates in priiloader but I'm still apprehensive about going ahead. Is there a safe way to do it or should I just stay offline?

1. I believe there is a code on preloader which blocks online updates.
2. 4.2 is the latest system software....just disable standby mode to prevent updates when not in use.

never had the warnings, just block updates via prriloader like you have and you will be good
