Hi there,
My softmodded wii currently runs 3.4 and I was never bothered to update to the lasted version since it could brick your wii.
After some thoughts I want to update my wii to 4.2 virgin, no mods at all.
I never installed a bootmii, can I savely update my wii to 4.2 with the official update or should I stick to the patched versions found on the net?
As far I have found, the latest update could brick your wii only if you have installed bootmii?
(No need for the patched updates as described in the tutorials, want to use the official update that comes with new super mario bross.)
