View Full Version : 1080p 24p / 120hz From File On Ps3?

No matter how I try I cannot get my PS3 to play converted mkv files in 24p. I've tried streaming them directly using ps3 media server without any pre conversion and it only plays in 60hz. I've tried converting to AVCHD files and running from usb with the same results.

No matter what I do with the files, I can only get them to play on PS3 at 60hz. I can play BR movies (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=713077#) just fine at 120hz but I can't get any files to play this way.

*update*

I was finally able to play them in 24p from a file when I keep the directory in tact on the usb drive in AVCHD format (usb:\BDMW; usb:\CERTIFICATE)

So here's my new question. How do I put a whole bunch of these on the same usb? Won't windows merge the two folders (BDMW and CERTIFICATE) each time I copy a new movie onto the drive? Is there a specific directory structure that I can use in order to archive these for viewing on external usb plugged into PS3? Can I stream AVCHD and keep 120hz?
