a friend gave me a slim PS2 model #SCPH-70012 PS2 last week and i was wondering how to run games off a hard drive or if its even possible. If so can you link to a guide on how to do it.

First off, just to let you know, to run games off of a hard drive you need some sort of mod or exploit. I use free mcboot myself to run ps2 back ups that i burn to dvd-r media. Second, playing games off of a usb hard drive is tricky. What i mean is that most games won't run at all due to compatibility issues. Third, use google! To start you off, google up free mcboot mc exploit. Then try looking up usb advance if your so keen on wanting to run games off of a hard drive. Next search up esr disc patcher for patching your ps2 dvd iso's to run on free mcboot. I would give you direct links to all this but i'm replying via my cell phone and i google'd up this stuff myself and had no problems finding what i needed to find. If you want to find the best forum to check out on this stuff try looking up forums.afterdawn and you can also try the playstation 1, 2, and 3 section of the forums at gbatemp.net So i hope i've helped you and i hope i didn't come across as a ****. Have a good day!
