Mobile phones are useless. Men don't need them, women do.
Google has expressed interest in getting into the network business. ****, maybe they'll do what all the other greedy, capitalistic fucks can't and provide some decent internet speeds to American.

Google is all about innovation. Haters gonna hate.
In other words, there is no other big fish to fry.
But I do agree that Google is fine and just needs to keep an eye on their sectors for failures and limit some risk.

We keep hearing how MS does not innovate, well what about Apple?? Where is Apple being innovative? The iPod? Sorry MP3 players existed long before the iPod. Apple may have made them popular but they sure as hell did not innovate them. The iPhone? Sorry smart phones existed long before iPhone. iPad? I don't think so! The last time Apple was innovative was when they helped to create the Window and even that was a refinement of an idea from SRI and Xerox.
And when the hell has Google ever been innovative? Did they create the search engine? Nope...did they create the browser? Nope....did the create the OS? Nope...So just what did they do that was so innovative?

I would hardly call that innovation. Live was/is/will be simply an adaptation of something that has been done for years upon years on PC. Kinect is a natural progression of controllers; well I guess it depends on each one's definition of innovation. As far as I see it, there's been no true innovation for years on the hardware side of things, yet other people consider putting 512mb of ram vs 32mb innovative.
I agree with CharmedonWB, Google has never been innovative, they have simply tried to do things better than others.
Google is becoming more like MS in another way though, the "We will take over the world, by having a hand in every single industry" kind of way.... and I can't say I like it anymore than I like MS trying to be there/control my life at every turn.

Its still impressive how Google got the market power in such short time. They are a "newbie" company compared to other big companies.

And soon Google games.
Sorry but I don't see any other company expanding as much as Google.

I think some here are getting invention and innovation confused as Google is a company built on innovation so its the one thing they have to keep working on. They innovated the search engine to what it is now and are doing the same in many fields. It more likely if they spread to far too quick and forget what makes them Google that I think they will fall into the traps that Microsoft has.
Google has to stay a software company and let others make the hardware like they are doing with Android as it is. Microsoft have had recent failures with a phone and the zune that they did not seem to have the will to push when the software could have been enough for them to offer to hardware manufacturers.

Hmmm evryone seems to hate MS but I think there is not a new growing company on the planet who wouldn't want to be as succesful as them. I bet Google would love to be as big as MS lack of innovation or not, to be in aposition where it doesn't matter how much the geeks will tell you their custom version of linux is so much better than than windows, the majority will still use windows and the majority of the computer market will continue to mainly develop for it. Google would love to be in that position to toatal dominate a market they are tryiong to push their products in.
This author must have somthing against MS to consider them somthing a company would not want to become, lets face it the only downside of being MS is dominating market so heavily that other companies and governments try to split you up to lessen that dominance so other companies can get a foot inthe door. That is one of the reasons for lack of innovation at MS, everytime they add somthing new to windows, some other company says they are being forced out of the market by them.
I'm really not seeing how google or any other company would not want to be that successfull.

Then I can say the same for MS...MS innovated the OS to what it is today, it innovated office suites to what they are today....it innovated surface touch screens....etc.

The last paragraph is so true. Google is more of a big brother than MS...Google has already been caught spying on people...Google is worse than MS in every way! And they are trying to get a foothold in everything digital--once they do that believe me the media will be their next goal.

wait wait... PC's have had an all in one service where you could use the same nickname across every game on the PC itself? also this all in one service has had the ability to purchase/preview content from movies to games to addons?
link me to the service man i wanna check it out. i don't know how this one slipped past my radar.
OHHHHHHHH i know why. BECAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST F*CKTARD.
online gaming may have existed, but xbox lives whole innovation was using one fucking ID for every game on the platform. something that STILL doesn't exist on PC or Mac.
EVERY game that comes out for xbox live uses the same gamerid/tag. EVERY game. not some, not half, not 3/4, every fucking one.
how could you be such a stupid moron... seriously.

err calm down iLLNESS thats called an opinion he didn't just call your mom a moose or something.. uncalled for.
lets see Live does Matchmaking - Gamespy did matchmaking.
live does one ID for all - BT openworld's network already did that.
downloadable software - dreamcast did it. pc had been doing it for many years.
Successful or not parts of live had been tried up to ten-fifteen years ago they just never made it or never pulled everything together. He is right Microsoft didn't innovate sure its a great network but its a network of borrowings.

About that LIVE innovation...
You can use same account for LIVE, PC, MSN and probably more.
When i unlock achievements on PC, its shows on 360 dashboard when i turn on 360. When i get achievements on 360, its show in the LIVE dashboard for PC games. Its realtime cross platform update....... I think this is nice ****. :)
You can login with same Live account on several systems at once, but only 1 of them can also be on MSN of course.
One more thing:
360 pad, headset, Lips mics, drums, guitars, wheel, pedals, hd-dvd player +++ wireless and usb, .. all works with only ONE driver in Windows!
When did Sony release a universal driver to make anything from PS3 work on PC without the need of any configuration at all??? When did any other company do this?
MS have done some good things.
Windows 7 may be good, but it still dont have Intuition. :(
I dont think Windows 8 have it either. Amiga had it since 1985... LOL

When i log in on live using the 360 and then log in on the PC i get booted out lol.
I do agree it has done some good stuff but those accessories you linked are an innovation in drivers not a network, It probably wasn't that hard to do anyway if you have one HID driver suited for controllers then every controller with the same button signals will work, add in microphone support, optical drive commands etc.. it would be more innovative if they allowed every manufacturer to use those same drivers ;)

You need to disable "MSN" in 360 profile, then you cant login into "Games for Windows Live", MSN etc. at the same time.
The 360 account wont notice any difference except that you dont show your Live account 360 as online on MSN. Why would you use 360 on MSN instead of PC anyway? hehe
Disable this one thing to make it work perfect. :) Its not a bug, but its obvious that you cant be logged into 2 MSN accounts at the same time. I'm just saying this generally. :)
As for Drivers... 1 driver for "everything". That driver would never be released because of new hardware model every day..hehe.. The hardware manufacturers could cooperate thou so they didnt need different drivers. All External HD's, Pen Drives, Burners etc.. works with "1 MS driver". Atleast all the generic drivers comes with Windows.

It is disabled on my 360 and that isn't the MSN i use day to day so i don't get what the problem is.
Auto Sign-In: Xbox Live - Enabled
Windows Live Messenger - Disabled
Unless you also have Auto Sign-In disabled i really don't know, 360 boots PC, PC boots 360.. they're not trying to sign in over eachother at least, the one that's signed in takes priority.
True about the drivers but a lot of them do the same thing, i mean why does thrustmaster have to release their own driver set/software package when their controller has the same amount of buttons, equal positions etc.. it annoys me when there are good drivers like the Microsoft one out there and TM would rather go ahead and emulate the analogs through a HID compliant mouse driver etc.. you know what i mean? lol
I see your point about "everything" but for the devices Microsoft is connecting through it, id see it as more innovative if everyone else was using it with the same devices, controllers, mics etc.

Good point, but this is why I feel the word innovation get's thrown around too easily these days. A natural progression, to me, isn't innovation. It's simply the next logical step in the development of a technology.

You are right, the word does get thrown around a lot--mainly by fanboys and people who are trying to hype a company for one reason or another. Innovation means introducing something new or different and because new can be vague people twist it and use it any which way they like. New could mean never seen before, it could mean a more efficient process or product or it could mean the next logical progression. This is why people can just throw the word around like that. That is why it does not really mean anything to me. To be honest, if we are going to talk about consoles, I think the only innovations have come from the NES, the PS1 and the Wii.

I added stuff to queue on LIVE in Windows today while my 360 was online, and the downloads kept popping up on TV. It works nice for me atleast. :)

Its possible, but not so smart to login twice to Gamerscore account on PC and 360 at the same time.
If you add achievements on both on same account, it may not add them to one of the accounts. Who uses 2 Gamerscore accounts at the same time anyway.. :)
Its stupid that they have their own drivers, but Logitech does the same. I think these controllers works proper with Windows generic drivers as Windows seem to detect most pads. It even works with USB PS3 pad without any driver, and all buttons ++ works.
Windows generic drivers probably support like 95% of any controller out there, and even Nintendo 64, Dreamcast pads (using adapters) +++
