Game freezes or won't start with popsloader?

So, I was trying to beat Xenogears today, loaded up my eboot and started playing

*spoilers*
I'm on disc 2, fighting Id/Fei in a... crater?

So anyway, I get into the battle and the music slows to a crawl and the game just starts to stutter before stopping alltogether, taking a good few seconds to respond to a pause and to back out of it. I don't know what's going on, I wasn't aware there was a glitch at this point...

So I install popsloader and run on 3.40. The game won't start. I try 4.01 and end up with a black screen.

The game loads fine using the pops from flash... but I have no idea why I can't get popsloader to work with this. And this is the first time I've played in like a year on my PSP. I just pulled the save from my PS3, but currently I'm jsut trying to get the game to run, so i don't have any save data attatched to it.

it sounds as though you only installed the popsloader prx but not all of the files that it needs, there should be a thread somewhere around that explains what you need to do to get all the files you need to get it to work.
