Finally got a chance to see Kinect in action via a BETA user and was wondering if anyone else has.
First impressions for me so far and some interesting tid bits about it are:
It recognizes you while sitting down (tries to detect limbs that are not in view [ie blocked by a chair or table])
the beta app is VERY responsive (from what I can tell its on par with the wii and move)
controlling the kinect menu using your hands works quite well
audio recognition seems to work well as well.
the whole dash is not controllable using hand motions (atleast not for the beta as of now). when you move your hand it brings up the kinect hub and form there you can navigate certain functions.
the tilt can be manually controlled in the beta.
still waiting to see the games in action... will be back shortly with some results.
