soldering psgroove device into ps3

right have a spare spi 360 flasher that i use as my ps groove device, now the question is am i able to solder it into the usb port internally so i can use the same usb port from outside therefore freeing up the port and having a permanent psgroove device?

I think you would either need to change the code, or install a switch.

The current PSGroove code does not appear to properly disable the USB device or be able to detect a warm boot. So on a warm start you would get "Unrecognized USB Device" messages, and that USB port probably wouldn't work properly.
