I decided to save $100 and not send my PSP-1001 back to Sony. I ordered a new door and via watching a Youtube video repaired my door and put it back on....I did not have any issues and the door now works fine. Except the unit will not run on battery power and will only run when plugged in. I checked the connectors and everything looks like the pinns connecting the battery are not dirty either. Any help or direction would be appreciated. The battery did work yesterday so i am a bit lost now.

There is a plugin to disable Umd door, try to search it on google, and enable it in recovery menu.
