Problem with ps3key.

Hi,

I just received my ps3key and I'm having a problem updating it. I have the installer and the update file and I can put it into update mode (both leds at same time). However when I press update now the progress bar appears and nothing happens whatsoever. It literally just sits there and won't update.

It is legit as I have a serial and validated it at the website.I'm also using vista 64.

any tips?

Hi everyone. This was solved by running it in xp sp2 mode. Now the new problem is it's flashing red and purple which means it should be in jailbreak mode but there is nothing under game to install a package file. I tried putting open backup manager 1.6 on the root of my usb drive and it doesn't show up to install.

Did you power up your console correctly?

Unplug your console at the socket.
Plug in your dongle.
Plug the console back in.
Press power and then eject quickly.

I found out it's because I have a 60gb phat model. The newest firmware on the ps3key website has problems with the phat models. I was luckily able to downgrade to a version 2.1 which I googled.

For those with a phat ps3 please use only ps3key v2.1 update for now until things are sorted.

I still can't believe Dark Sector was only 1.4gb when I tested copying my retail disc to the harddrive. lol 1.4gb on a blu-ray disc
