This Is What You Get With Buying Pre-owned Consoles From GAME

hi guys could do with a little advise please as im unsure what to do next
i brought my kids a preowned xbox 360 premuim console last year end of july from game £139
after 9 months it gave the dreaded 3 red lights so i thought of it goes to MS for repair after checking the MFR date 2006 no warrenty
so off came the front to notice this.. i did break their seals as no microsoft seals were in place

so i opened it to fix to then to find these Not xclamps

some nuts were inplace instead of xclamps like this

then under the top of the housing i found this

how do i stand with taking these con artists to the cleaners or better still a replacment console

not to sure what the warranty was that you got with game but since you broke their seal you have no hope of getting it replaced or even fixed.well thats what i think anyways.

But what about Game breaking microsofts official seal in the 1st place ( if it was me or you ms would say voided warrenty )
what gives GAME the right to break the official seal in the 1st place and get away with it
What would Microsoft say If Their Retailers Are Tappering With Their Consoles
This Gives Microsoft a Bad Rep At the end of the day

You should of gotten a 1 year warranty with the console, but unsure if game would offer you that long. Also as you have broken the seal, then you are liable for the fault on the console, as game will say you have replaced the xclamps and not them. Thats the problem with second hand stuff, you dont know the history of the console.

That's a bit of a pain in the arse! I bought a 360 from a shop and I suspected it was second hand (but it didn't say it was). 2 years later, RRoD. Doh. Nothing I could do because the warranty had ran out, so I took it to bits and it was really dusty and there was something written in pen on something (might have been the disc drive). Sucks. I would put it back together, pretend you didn't remove the sticker and ask them for another one. If they say you took the sticker off say you didn't. They ripped you off.

THey are not going to exchange it if its seal has been broken. Its your word against theirs, and as they hold your money, you dont have a leg to stand on imo.
