I know somewhere along these threads these questions have probably been answered due to the fact i really do not understand alot of the thech terms and alot of things that get mentioned in simple i shall ask.
1. After jailbreaking can you use a external hard disk of any size and problems with compatability issues.
2. Can you not burn disks with a Blu Ray writer and play back-ups direct.
3. PS2/PS1 backups can they be playable through disk or external hard drive also will it play all NTSC/PAL/JAP all regions.
4. Do games go on the internet without getting banned like xbox does.
5. Just like the games can the blu ray movies be backed up with blu ray writer and be played region free.
6. Is it possiable to jailbreak on 3.15.
7. Does it do all the things like media player, emulators and usual homebrew.
8. Does the usb breaker device thinggy need to be plugged in at all times.

You're safe up to 1.5TB and you'll want a drive that does not spin down to save power. We do know for sure that the Playstation 3 will not support a 3TB drive. There are various issues to consider such as the 4GB file issue and compatibility! I would recommend upgrading the internal drive 500-640gb and getting yourself an external drive that way you're covered on all fronts. http://www.psjcl.com/

No
3. PS2/PS1 backups can they be playable through disk or external hard drive also will it play all NTSC/PAL/JAP all regions.
No
4. Do games go on the internet without getting banned like xbox does.
Nope they do not go on the internet at all neither does your console. Firmware 3.41 is required for the jailbreak but Sony requires that you use firmware 3.50 to play online.
5. Just like the games can the blu ray movies be backed up with blu ray writer and be played region free.
No
6. Is it possiable to jailbreak on 3.15.
Yes
7. Does it do all the things like media player, emulators and usual homebrew.
Early stages, Not much homebrew around yet and it may be buggy or slow.
Of note there's: Snes9x - Yabause (Sega Saturn) - Pong - AVCHD Player
8. Does the usb breaker device thinggy need to be plugged in at all times.
You'll need it each time you boot the console;
1. Remove power from the console (unplug the console or flip the switch on the back)
2. Plug in your jailbreak device
3. Restore power to the console
4. Press power and then eject
Once the console has booted and you can see the icons related to the jailbreak you can then remove the device. If you turn off the console you will need to repeat this process.
Hopefully that helped.

Can you reccomend me a hard drive for a ps3 intenal or external. Do they have comaptaibility issues or anything as stated above something that does not power down or spin down to save power.

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/500GB-Western-Digital-WD5000BEVT-Scorpio-25-SATA-300-5400-rpm-8MB-Cache-2-ms
I bought that one for internal and am still very happy with it.
My external drive is no longer listed its a 1.5TB Western Digital Elements (WD15000EB035) which has rubber end caps and appears to work just fine with both the Wii and PS3 as well as anything else i throw at it.. you can find it here http://wdc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wdc.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1492&p_created=&p_cats=185&p_cv=1.185&p_pv=3.289&p_prods=228%2C219%2C289 but i do not know any store links.
