kb and mouse adapter for 360

Im an old school fps quake player but all my friend are moving to the console so i suck when it comes to controller. Im trying to find the best adapter for hooking up my keyboard and mouse to the xbox 360. I have found a few adapters out there but little or mixed reviews.

What adapter is the best?

Can i get banned from xbox live for using them?

Has anyone played Black Ops with keyboard / mouse yet?

been looking for those adapters myself. Quite expensive in my opinion. Would be nice just to plug in a simple usb mouse and kb and use them.
