can onyone tell me what dashboard version is needed to j-tag, i have dashboard 2.0.9199.0 on mine can this be done?

no,7371 or lower,even 7371 is touch and go.

you cant jtag you xbox as you have updated your dashboard to far neeeds to be 7371 or lower
