hi all,

just got hold of a 60gb ps3 with faulty drive.was just wondering as the drive is paired with the motherboard is their a certain type of drive i have to get or can i take the logic board from the faulty drive and put it in a working drive from another 60gb machine.i think both drives are single lenses.

BR drive and motherboard are keyed together. Try replacing the Laser instead. They are available on Ebay and there are quite a few guides on the internet.
