I wouldn't be shocked to see them offer him something. probably trying to see if he can lock up the phone or atleast defeat the current way of jailbreaking. Its not the first time microsoft has played nice with hackers.

I agree that they would show they are even cooler if they helped him with his case. That might even hack proof their consoles for a few gens LOL!

Again, marketing strategy... Do do do... Doom! I smell appending doom to all hackers :D. However, I do believe that something GOOD may come out of this for all of us consumers. i.e. A second hand shop for homebrew/unofficial code, and block any potential threat to piracy. Maybe... Not too much of a longshot it looks like. Those who hack can prevent it, am i right?

It's already been jailbroken...you can sideload apps, it's really easy to do as well. I jailbroke my samsung focus already. MS is trying to block the hack though, so it's tough to find. You need the program, and the certificate file, then email it to yourself as an attachment, then open the attachment from your phone...there's tutorials on the net. :cool:

The first call on the cell phone was from his lawyer telling him sony is suing him. the second call was microsoft offering him a job. To fix what the guy who got a t-shirt broke. So the next thing to happen is, sony will offer the guy who got a t-shirt a chance to make apps for experia phone.
This is kinda like battleship. "you, jailbroke my battleship" winner gets free swag or a lawsuit, batteries not included.
