This is what Sony should be doing, not suing hackers but by giving incentives to stay ofw or making money elsewhere for cases of piracy.

That said console gamers are still catching up with the Pc where we have had things like the free steam cloud for a while now.

I remember back in my day when the cloud was referred to as the internet

I was just thinking about this last night when visiting a friend's house, I thought it would be cool to take my saves with me (like on the old PS2).

Saying that, is it possible to already copy the saves to a USB stick and transfer them that way?

Almighty_Peanut, I know what you mean, doesn't seem cool to call it that now though... bloody stupid buzz words.

does this mean that treyarchs next attempt to fix ps3 black ops will now delete the cloud as well as your save games? or will we have to wait another week until sony releases firmware 3.61?

for psn + members only?
WTF are you playing at sony?

way to screw over your user base. you should have had this upload Game save
feature from the start.

guess its time to go back to my jailbreak and screw you over too.

am I the only one who really see this thought the most stupidest concept ever? Never liked the cloud based system, it means you stuck in some deep S*it even if you own the data.

If it works like steam cloud, only an optional copy is kept online. Otherwise it acts like normal.

What they SHOULD be doing is LISTENING to their user base and quit being money grubbing creeps.

I had this idea and posted it in their GAP a long time ago. I'm glad they're finally doing it... too bad I'm not getting PSN+.

If you are pro ps3 hacking, I would not necesserily say that. If you were to have seen some of the stuff I have seen of forums from fanboys right now Sony would be trying to get them on death row.

Although I understand what you are saying, eg. Cross game chat, etc. I just said what I said because it's been better than certain current events.

This is exactly what i've been waiting for! I have multiple PS3s in my house and its annoying moving save files! Hell, some of the save files can't even be moved! I hope this is true!

What about games like Star Ocean and Demon's Souls where the save is locked to your individual console?

Good idea if optional and with a local backup (maybe excluding games like Demon's Souls). If not it'll allow Sony to ransom your savegames. There are also some occasional problems with cloud-based stuff on Valve's service (for example, a corrupted settings file that makes the game crash on startup, but can't be removed or replaced because it's on the cloud server).

Yes it is really good idea ! but I am a little dissapointed that only plus subscribers will have this option ...
They can give normal user a little storage space and plus a bigger one , that everyone will be happy and overal PSN feel will be better !
