Does this hint of a Voice Recognition App?
"How Do I Get to Downtown?" Very soon, you might be just be able to talk to your iPhone and it will help you out?
Fact or future Sci-Fi, maybe not, as Apple has send out invites for their iPhone 5 launch next week, and it is titled "Let's Talk iPhone."
As Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster says it is all related to the long-rumored voice recognition feature on iOS 5:
"In the past, Apple has used its invitation to include cryptic hints as to what it will announce," Munster wrote in a letter to investors. "The phrase on this year's invite, 'Let's talk iPhone,' may be a simple play on words, but may also refer to new speech-based features for the iPhone."
Also we have to remember that Apple last year bought the startup company called Siri, and they already added voice-to-text features in iOS 4 and their mission statement expands on that in more it seems:
"Siri will improve quickly by getting to know you better and understanding a broader set of tasks. In fact, right now, Siri's learning how to handle reminders, flights stats and reference questions," the company said. "Our vision is that, over time, you'll trust Siri to manage many personal details in your life - from recommending a wine you might enjoy to managing your to do list."
Time will only tell in a few days, we be there watching the Oct. 4 big launch and the truth will be know from the top iPhone 5 rumors!
