In honor of the 25th year anniversary of Zelda, gamers trying to play all back to back!

Legend of Zelda been around 25 years now, and Nintendo is releasing a whole new adventure for Wii, in honor of those two events, GameCity6 is trying to set a new world record in playing them all!

I am amazed Zelda is still around, 25 years later. The series is still going strong, Nintendo is banking on each time, releasing another new adventure during peak holiday sales.

In honor of these two events, a group of 6 gamers will play tag-team to complete the whole series non-stop from the first game all the way to most recent release, in attempt to set a new Guinness World Record.

GamesCity says fans visiting the Nottingham festival will have the chance to take part in a day of Zelda-themed adventures. The Zelda Takeover Day, scheduled for 29th October includes a Hyrulean market village (previously the Old Market Square), a sword and shield workshop and a lesson in Ocarina playing. There will also be the chance for gamers to get hands on with the latest Zelda game, Skyward Sword, ahead of it's UK release on November 18th.

The day will feature an Ocarina Orchestra, where visitors can take part in playing some of the series' songs, with Zelda branded Ocarinas being given away to participants.

To celebrate 25 years of Link's adventures, a Zelda Zine (fan magazine) will be created with fans invited to contribute artwork, poetry, a short story or just a Zelda playing memory. The zine will then be edited by videogame culture graphic designer, Cory Schmitz with GameCity printing and assembling a limited run available on Saturday for attendees to buy.

Talk about being over Zelda fan crazy, besides Guinness attending the event, the National VideoGame Archive will be recording the loyal fans thoughts and feeling and experiences. :)
