Now with the production of RGH devices in full swing, you need something useful software wise also
http://www.maxconsole.com/maxconsole/contents/RKSID00000000000000000196/icon.jpg
And now thanks to hard-efforts of many people you can finally build an 'hacked' NAND image to flash to your RGH-enabled Xbox 360 Console which allows you to boot-up into a fully working 13604 dash
This is a noob-friendly version of the ggBuild 0.33 Glitch Image builder, it has all the necessary files needed to create a Glitch Image of the Dash version 13604 using a simple User Interface which allows the user to choose his console type and does the rest of the process automatically.
Easy ggBuild v0.4 Final by Rogero on 26/10/2011
- Updated BestPig's "fcrt_extractor" to version 0.3
- Eliminated one step from the Trinity image creation for simpler operation
This is the Final Version, no more updates are necessary.
Credits to ggbuild/fbbuild/freeboot and 360FlashTool teams and devs.
Credits and big thanks to BestPig for sharing his awesome fcrt_extractor.exe program.
Cheers
The user just needs to supply 2 files ,his nand image as "nanddump.bin" and the CPU key as "cpukey.txt".
Place both files in the folder "Data\my360" ,the glitch image will be created as "updflash.bin" in the folder "Data".
Some Slim consoles may need 2 additional files "fcrt.bin" and "fcrt.bin.meta" to be extracted from the nand and added to the folder "Data\my360".

All these hacks seem genius.... but seriously.... enough of the damn hacking.
Everyday you see a new hack, firmware, device or some other BS for xbox. If you were to go on a 1 week vacation, you'd probably miss several dozen hacks.
Just buy your damn games. Its so much simpler, than dealing with the constant technical BS of getting your modded system up to speed.
Plus you can't play on LIVE.

Well this 'story' is important as it more then just playing your 'games' for free.
With a open dashboard, you can install any 'homebrew' and 'emulators' that are complied with the XDK which is alot more then the ones available for XELL only system,
which was all that was available to the RGH enabled consoles before.
So now those with RGH boxes like Slim's can enjoy the same world that JTAG owners have been enjoying for a while, and the stock of available machines that can be JTAG'ed is rapidly dieing out, either you got to spent tons of money from ebay seller for sealed unused unit or spend bucks on RROD repaired unit that might die again.

oh no? weird. my slim says otherwise!

and dual nand:

fullsize pic (http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1064/cimg2281t.jpg)
since then ive updated to ggbuild with banned kv (no accidental ban on my retail this way) and dual hdd so ggbuild drive cant be seen on retail dash (unfortunately my retail drive can be seen in ggbuild if i forget to swap).
either way... rgh is great because it allows access to live on a dual boot system without worry of efuses (unlike jtag).

but isnt this only good for booting one game at a time,so after playing a game you would have to reboot the console etc?
if that is the case, its good stuff as everything has to start somewhere but i would prefer to have a jtag that boots games like my old stylie jtag.
at the mo we can boot games from dvdrom, but i can see it being okish for those with slim winbound chipset based drives seeing as unlock pcbs are round £50 a time.

huh? ggbuild IS jtag basically for reset glitch. same apps (aka, fsd) same features, etc. just different hack to get the job done.

Seems a little bit complicated, when I see something to soldering...I hope for something easier.

so tell me,you can play a game from hdd then go back to dash then choose another game and boot it or you have to reboot again for next game, does everything work like old jtag methods, xexmenu etc?
i am asking cos i aint done this yet, looks easy enough but i am curious as to how things run.

it lets you use the glitch to grab then create a machine specific "custom" version of the xbox firmware, meaning you dont need to glitch again, i'm assumin that you'd be able to glitch a 360, use gg build then remove the glitch board to create what is to all intents and purposes a jtag machine. at least thats how i read it.

buying games is fine but what about the rest of the game some greedy twat decided to remove so they can sell it back to you? this way you get to use the dlc and pay what its worth (nothing). better yet, if it gains a decent foothold and causes sales of digital content to crash maybe, just maybe the greedy bastards will go back to selling complete games. like they have for every previous generation (and all handhelds and the wii)

glitch is permanent. the exploit is early in the boot process (cant be patched on slims appearantly, possibly on phats) so its required to glitch it to boot hacked kernel.

I don't see the reason for doing this when there's the x360key and wasabi devices that doesn't require any soldering.

I think with wasabi and x360key, you can't boot homebrew and you cant avoid full sized iso which in are inflated with dummy data and takes up alot of space.

if you dont see the reason, then you dont need it. there will be alot of others who see the reason and will enjoy it for you :)

So far the two best is the "Matrix Glitcher" from the old team matrix in the PS2 modding days, but alot of cheap chinese clones of it already.
And the Team-Xecuter "CoolRunner" which is finally shipping to the official resellers the first week in Nov.

actually.. team matrix glitcher is a peice of junk. by default its an unreliable glitcher.
lucky enough, a person(s) made a great discovery making the matrix glitcher work well. unfortunately, the matrix team did not do this on their own as they were too busy trying to make a quick $$$.
end result, buy the tx coolrunner for NOW. there will be some great glitchers/spi r/w'ers on the horizon soon that are much better then the sheiza matrix glitcher.

Playing homebrew and emulators I can understand.... but just buy your games people.
@illness..... Good for your slim.... I prefer not to risking a console ban & a 5 year old profile ban.
