The Tanksis have made a powerful alternative to black cabs as a way of getting around London

London has been turned into a battlefield after an invasion of tanks, there is no need to panic though. It’s not an attack by a foreign power and it’s not a heavy-handed tactic to remove protesters
It is all just a silly publicity stunt by EA to promote their new video game Battlefield 3 which was released this week for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Tanksis have become the capital's newest form of transport, with a team of 16-tonne Abbot tanks rolling into town this week to carry lucky commuters to work.
Asking for no fares, the tanks have fought their way through the usual traffic chaos in the jammed-up streets around famous London landmarks including Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Westminster, and even Buckingham Palace.
Tom Goldberger, from Battlefield 3 publisher Electronic Arts, said: "Tanksis have been brought to the capital to make the urban battlefield that is London's roads more of a joy than the daily chore they currently are."
