Clearly you know nothing about flashing slims...the key can be read easily by anybody, but flashing it back to an original pcb is a toally different matter - you need to drill the chip to unlock the write protect, and a lot of people don't want to risk it.

Hence the market for replacement pcb's.

not all the drives need to be (kamikazied) only winbound would be considered the pain in the ass drive the mcix can be russian hacked to unlocked.so its good for winbound based drive owners.but theres also the rest glitch,these replacement unlock boards tend to be pretty pricey.
