PSP 3000 can read memory stick but can't read the files

Hi, my unle's PSP-3000 maybe broken. I have no idea what to do. It can only read then UMD files. It can read the memory stick but it can't read the files inside the memory. It doesn't have a vsh menu. Plus, I can't access the recovery menu. I tried to format the memory but all it says is " Format failed. (80220089)" I don't know what to do, please help. Thanks in advance.
P.S. is it just me or the website has gotten a lot better and stylish than before.

It is a format error. Maybe your memory stick is a fake and then low quality. Maybe it is demaged. Try to format it throught Pc with usb cord, or to put directly in a card read.
