View Full Version : Siri - Can be Very Helpful or Also Non-Helpful

So why did the 'adopted' Steve Jobs make Siri so 'pro life'?

Seems Steve Jobs has programmed 'Siri' to be selectful in what it will do or not do in what it wants to help you in finding out about things. -- Siri, it seems has its own mind!

Since the launch of SIRI on the Apple iPhone many questions have been asked of it, but now people are asking Apple instead!

Questions such as why can it find 'Prostitutes', 'Viagra', 'Shooting Ranges' or 'Breast Enlargements' without problems.

But when asked questions like: 'Contraceptives', 'Morning After Pills' and 'Abortion Services' they all for some reason draw a big blank despite the Apple product is using well know search engines to get its results, so it seems that Siri is infact filter'ing the search results.

It might just be that 'Steve Jobs' himself didn't want people to get real-life answers to questions he personally didn't really like in the first place!

Our thanks to 'billysastard' for writing up this weird Siri brain-mind-control problem and finding the above 'screenshots' of it in action!

I know the first thing I feel about this is that I don't like any search filtered for me.

It's not that I am pro abortion, I am pro information... If some one has questions about something there should be logical information freely available so they can make up there own minds about what they want to do.

At any rate I am sure this will get sorted out, but I suspect it would have been better for Apple to be transparent about this whole issue. Now if they keep filtering the pro abortion people are going to get all anti Apple, but if they fix it and stop filtering the pro life people will claim Apple supports abortion. A perfect no win situation that would have been best avoided from the get go by not getting involved in the first place.

no, hes never been much of a programmer however i'm pretty sure that being the control freak he was he would have "decided" what siri would filter out and that would have been how it was to be, apple are now claiming it was just a "glitch" since its become very public and has certain pressure groups looking at its legality.

He was just doing what the liberal/ lamestream media does on a daily basis, that being only giving you the info they want you to have. They will do the thinking for you, you know because you aren't smart enough to think for yourself. The sad thing about this is that the masses (sheeple) will not even see how they view themselves as being so above and more intelligent than those that they are reporting to, they will just agree that what ever they say must be the truth. It is censorship by omission, try and keep the masses(sheeple) uninformed.

If you are in the U.S. PLEASE make sure you do everything you can to get the piece of $hit out of the White House. There are some things I would love to see B.H.O. written on....................? Big Hairy Ostrich?

Steve Jobs a programmer? Don't make me laugh.

Even if he had been he would have likley had very little, if any, input in the coding, but he would have had a major influence on it's content on how it would work.

One more reason to give apple a miss, thier phones are far more restrictive than any others in the same price range already, at least they are consistant in impossing further restrictions elsewhere, don't tell me tho to search for stuff they block you need to buy an app for each subject

whats interesting is how apple fares now.

apple has always had a choke hold to the point of dictating what its users should be enjoying, and this is probably evident from the fact that the bulk of ardent apple users are eastern europeans and people who do not have much of an opinion on life or anything else till theyre told what to think. (this is my personal experience so no offence to anyone but most apple users I know are fat guys obsessed with beer and nothing else to their personality, polish, romanians, finnish, hungarians etc etc and single unwed mothers).

everyone of some opinion, knowledge or substance preffers the pc.
