Retail vs. Digital - Buying a game for the PS-Vita is basically the same, you just get a little case

Sony has decided that PS Vita games will be SHIPPED retail boxed in empty plastic case, just the game cart. with a simple warning card, no fancy artwork, or manuals, so much more for those EXTRA bucks
Despite the large plastic boxes holding the SD sized 'PS-Vita' game cards that nice clip inside the case is not there to hold the manual.
Its to hold the single warning sheet (and later dlc codes), Vita games do not and will NOT have any manuals as those with buying those first 'PS Vita' units and games in Japan are quickly discovering!
Uncharted has a very nice coloured warning sheet that looks like a manual but isn't btw! - Same as all the others, no artwork, no manual!
So much for going 'retail' instead of 'digital' to get that 'extra stuff' for the 'higher price'. -- Nope, not in this case with 'PS Vita'!

Only sony can make a fantastic piece of technology everyone is excited about and turn it into something this loathsome.

I really am at a loss to explain some of the actions they have been doing as of late, I think the Wii plowing the PS3 in sales might have driven them a bit insane?
It must have been difficult for them going from undisputed #1 to last place in the span of one console cycle. The last company that happened too was Atari... The Lynx was fantastically more advanced then the GameBoy too.
Not saying Sony is going the way of Atari but there are some ironic historical points there.
Edit: Although I will say this, I do not remember Atari being so hated at any point in time so anythings possible.

i seem to recall a lot of dislike when they sued activision and imagic (both started by ex atari programmers who "liberated" the system for locking carts when the left atari) for breaking their copyright protection on the lockout chips which opened the floodgates to "pirate" games, strange how activision started life as a company based on breaking someone elses drm yet squeal so loudly when someone breaks theirs, odd that in the next gen under their tengen label it was atari themselves who were being sued by nintendo for doing the same thing to get those lovely blach tengen carts playing on the nes. but no, i dont think at any point in gaming history one single company has done so much to crap on its customers as sony has with the ps3 psp and now vita, even the likes of ea with their sheer greed havent quite attained sonys level of "f*ck you".

In all fairness, given the kinds of Games I like to play, (ex: Agrest Generations of War, Trinity Universe), he does kinda have a point. Whoever wrote those Manuals should be drug outside and shot dead in the head!
This said though this is UNACCEPTABLE! WTF are we expected to shell out over +60.00€(EUR)s' for their Games then?
If not for the simplest things like a freaking Paper Manual or gasp dare I say a Map or Two?
Hell even if the Initial Cost of Ownership on this thing is set to hit the Roof, at the end of the Day What have the Pirates then lost? Cause it seems to me that it's only the Pirates that will win, when you take away the last few incentives like Box Art, and Manuals away.
Hell why didn't they just make this thing a pure DLC Machine instead?
...Wait recalls something called a "PSP Go"...
Ohhh yeah how did that turn out again?
The Vita is set to bomb even faster then that hunk of shi--- MARK MY WORDS!
