Currently for 'A4 Devices only'

As promised just before the 'end of the year', the 'Chronic Dev Team' have released the 'Untethered Jailbreak' for 5.0.1

A4 release

Hello, as expected, the Chronic Dev Team and the iPhone Dev Team have released the A4 untethered for 5.0.1 based on my work.

It is exactly the same set of files, either distributed as a Cydia package for those that are already tethered or a redsn0w bundle for new users.

They both did a great job testing and integrating the payload.

Here is a link to their respective blog posts :

- iPhone Dev Team : http://iphone-dev.org

Happy jailbreaking !!!

i just need to ask in case im missing something.

for an ipad 1st generation, is there a real good reason to jailbreak?
-Backgrounder is dead
-Displayout is obsolete now.
-piracy I don't care for
-Outdated emulators are available if your into that sort of thing
-yourtube is semi broken.
-Xbmc on ipad is more of a novelty then a useful app.
-safari download extension is cool if used with ifile.
-Theme customization not iportant to me
-Mywii, I dont care for on an ipad.
-frash is dead

can people who jailbreak there ipad tell me if there is something they particulary like about jailbreaking that im missing? to me there arent enough perks to push me into jailbreak on ipad. Am I missing something?

i also find with a jaibreak ipad most games stop working and apps crash more often

to me, based on my experiance with jailbreaking my ipad, id have to say this is a very dead community.
