Featuring Co-Op gameplay, set for a fall 2012 release.

A Disney newsletter accidentally reveals Epic Mickey 2 existence and some of its features (but has been removed since).

So this is still a rumor, but a very possible one.

A few of you will probably remember a similar leak a few months ago, in which Disney's Epic Mickey 2 was supposedly to be coming to all three current consoles in 2012, revealing also a few possible box arts.

Now, we have this new leak coming from a Disney newsletter (and later removed), confirming a Co-op Multi-console game:

Disney Epic Mickey 2 is the latest game in the critically acclaimed Disney Epic Mickey videogame series. In this all-new action-platforming game available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, Mickey embarks on an epic journey and is pulled back into a world filled with Disney’s forgotten characters. Players can choose to play single-player as Mickey or for the first time players can also choose 2-player split screen mode. In the 2 player mode one person can play as Mickey wielding magic paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world and the second player can play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit – Walt Disney’s first cartoon star – with the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to fight or friend enemies and solve challenges. Team-up and choose your path to save this forgotten world because the choices you make will alter the story and change the end of the game!

Considering the Wii U would be coming by the same time, I guess a release for the newest Nintendo console it's (also?) possible.

The first Epic Mickey (for Wii) was developed by Junction Point, dev studio established by Warren Spector, best known for the Deus Ex series. The game has sold more than a million units on the Wii alone.

that seems a bit unlikely really since by the time this comes out both the wii u and xbox fusion are likely to be on sale would they really make it for last gen tech?, i can understand a ps3 release since sony will still be rushing to get a ps4 released to combat the new systems from ms and nintendo but wont the wii and 360 already be eclipsed by the wii u and fusion? i realise that both could run their older versions but would disney really want to have the title of "worst looking game on the new systems" considering how graphically amazing the first epic mikey was?

Well, apparently is now confirmed:

Although yeah, a Chirstmas 2012 release for Wii seems a bit odd with Wii U coming before. But looks like 360 and PS3 is confirmed.

Going to say that Disney sticking to the Wii makes sense from a sales perspective, the game would still play on the Wii-U in Wii mode?

Not sure the 360 and PS3 versions make sense though.

To put it as gently as possible the people who tend to buy a Wii or buy a 360 or buy a PS3, are all different audiences.

I imagine that 80% of the sales for this game are going to be on the Wii.

Edit: And the first one was a fantastic game.
