Sony announced a new Xperia branded smartphone, marking the first time we’re seeing a phone being built 'in-house' and no longer by the Sony-Ericcson joint venture
Sony announced at their yesterday CES press conference, a new Playstation Certified phone under the Xperia brand.
The Sony Xperia ion marks the first time we’re seeing a smartphone being built in-house – and no longer the result of the former joint venture.
Powered by Android 2.3, a 4.3" 1,280 x 720 screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1 GB RAM and 16-32 GB for storage, Sony is finally coming out of the woods with a smartphone that’s sure to buckle the knees of some of its competitors and keep them shaken up on wondering what just hit them.
The phone is coming in March this year on the United States, and it also features a 12-megapixel auto-focus camera with Exmor R sensor, VGA front-facing camera, 1080p video recording and 4G LTE connectivity.
It surely looks powerful!
