Square Enix plans on adding extra content to Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy

Speaking with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura mentioned additional songs will be distributed for the beat tapping 3D game. Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy features music from Final Fantasy I – XIII.

Most likely the extra songs will NOT be paid DLC since Nintendo service for that function on the 3DS will not launch until Spring, and the 'Theatrhythm' game which features music from all the FF games in the series, launches on February 16, but then you never know!

Before the scheduled release date, Square Enix plans to release a demo, but it will only feature 2 songs to try out your beat tapping skills with! - No word on how many songs will be featured in the actual game, and how many will be 'downloadable' ones only!

I don't care give Nintendo back the real Final Fantasy!

I always thought it would be cool if Square Enix made a clear distinction between its Sony Final Fantasy titles and the Nintendo ones. Final Fantasy 9 was the best in the series with the best art direction in my opinion and Nintendo could easily make that work with limited graphics. I mean incredible cgi with gender-ambiguous characters is neat and all but I haven't played a fun Final Fantasy in a long time. Old school rpg elements in an open world that doesn't hold my hand every step of the way is what I crave. Final Fantasy is more of a movie than a game today.
