Nintendo will update 3DS Ambassador NES games improving them.

Nintendo is updating the downloadable NES games offered to 3DS Ambassadors one year ago, so if you're Ambassador you can go to 3DS eShop and update Super Mario Bros.

This update adds to the game Suspend Points, so you can now save your game wherever you want and load it later. It also upgrades the "resume" function currently available in the game.

There will be more updates soon for other NES Ambassador games, so stay alert and update all your games.

I was really hoping this post was going to be about the game being updated to 3D widescreen..
You know, the update they mentioned a few times when we got the game...

We've known about the game being rereleased in 3D since 2010, it makes alot more sense for us to expect the update to be the 3D version than just savestates.

Really.... at this point in video game history.... people have played this game like a hundred times on the NES and then on like 50 other emulators running on 50 various platforms.

Nintendo start releasing some newER games for free.
