OS X new Messages App lets you send files to your iDevices

Recently released beta Messages for OS X is the new way for sending files to your iOS devices without complications

A few days ago, Apple released the beta version of Messages, the new App for OS X that replaces iChat and is able to communicate with iOS devices which runs iMessage (All of them with iOS 5 installed). Now we know that this app allows to send almost any type of file to our devices. This is, we can send a .pdf and the Safari web browser will open it, send a video and the iDevice will play it and so on.

According to iClarified:



The new beta of Messages for Mac lets you transfer files of any type to your iOS device, reveals iPhoneil.

The video below demonstrates that Messages is capable of sending files including: .mp3, .pdf, .txt, .sh, .deb, .ipa, .exe, .app, .rar, .tar, .7z, and .zip to your iPhone.

Whats the odds on it limiting then cutting off iPhoneys and iPhads that are a couple of gens old tho still fully capable using some lame excuse like they did with iphone 1 firmware when the iOS2 devices came out, tho they did then get get proven to be full of crap, but I bet they claim somthing along the lines of older hardware can't do this, if not right away on a soon to be future update.

If they can do it to hardware that is more than capable of running Mountain Lion to scam iDiots into upgrading when they don't need to, there is no suprises install when they inevitable screw their other customers, again.

But I don't see the point iCloud means whatever is on my phone is on my MacBook pro. And the other way round, I know iMessage is coming to mountain lion I think this is a little bit misinterpreted and may be renewing the iMessage patten for the upcoming mountain lion is x update, plus sending items to friends is easy I do it everyday as os x and iOS is seamless when it comes to file management and sharing, in fact as it is I've not used a USB drive on my mac for a long time as if I need something it's either going to be on my iPhone or my mac and if I need to send it I can.

I am sort of lucky on that front, bought an iTrip radio tuner back when I got my iPhone (there were no working adapters to plug them into the car stereo at the time as apple seem to have kept the adapter but changed the pins for the iPhone or somthing, what a suprise from the company that made the earphone socket recessed as well so that non apple earphones could be used without an adapter, or non apple bluetooth devices), never worked as it just got interference from the phone, but it does have a standard mini usb adapter on it. Works fine on my iPod Classic, well the tuner doesn't but the USB socket works fine.
