From Final Fantasy creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi, 'The Last Story' is an Action RPG for Wii. Now, in addition to Europe, the game is also releasing in NA, and it will be published by Xseed.
The Last Story is an Action RPG for the Nintendo Wii directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy. It was released last year in Japan, and it was recently announced that Nintendo will publish the game in Europe. And actually, the game is releasing this week in there.
Now, Nintendo has announced that the game will be also coming to North America, however, they won't publish the game, instead Xseed Games will do the localization job. There's no release date yet, but the game is surely launching this year. Judging by the actual Wii situation -most likely- it will be released this Summer.
Mistwalker’s Wii role-playing game epic, The Last Story, is coming to North America. But it’s not by the hand of Nintendo. Xseed, one of the country’s few niche title publishers, is bringing Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi’s latest RPG stateside.
Nintendo boss Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed the localization on the U.S. version of today’s Nintendo Direct press conference, which is separate from the earlier reported Japanese Nintendo Direct. It is due for release this year.
The game was developed by Mistwalker and AQ Interactive, and it also contains music from the famous Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Good news for RPG fans! This is one of the last high-quality Wii games we will see for the console.
