A new trade-in service.

Retailer GameStop has announced that it now offers a selection of refurbished iDevices at over 1,000 of its stores worldwide.

Gamestop has entered into the trade-in business with a new Apple iDevices exchange program.

They are now accepting iPods, iPads and iPhones to exchange it with store credit for you. They of course do not pay much at all for your older iDevices, but it might be an option for people bored of their iGadgets.

According to MCV:

The chain allows customers to trade in their iOS devices for as much as $400 (for an iPad) and $300 (for an iPhone).

“Hitting the 1,000-store milestone allows more customers to take advantage of great savings on quality refurbished mobile devices,” GameStop’s mobile VP Joe Gorman stated.

“We will continue to expand as we build inventory through customer trade-ins. With the frequent upgrade cycles, we enable consumers to stretch their dollar and get their hands on new technology.”

I don't mean to sound rude, but they've been doing this for awhile (around here in RI atleast). They offered me $140 for a 3G 16G iPad... >_<
