EA removes the game due to server collapse

EA has removed The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the iOS App Store to ensure actual players suffer no-lag in online modes.

EA likes to remove their things from the App Store. After the last week's (http://www.maxconsole.com/cgi-bin/maxconsole/rknewz.pl?function=detail&id=RKLS0000003698&cat=IOS) final removal of Battlefield 3: Aftershock they have done the same to the recently released The Simpsons: Tapped Out game. This time, the reasons are different. They said that the App was removed to ensure actual players to enjoy a full multiplayer experience with no lag on the servers. They have told that they are working on a solution to provide the servers with enough capacity to support any user who wants to purchase the App.

According to MCV:

Having made somewhat of a splash on iOS, EA has pulled licensed title The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the App Store.

The publisher blames the “overwhelmingly positive” reaction to the game, which has put its servers under a lot of pressure.

“To ensure current players have the best possible experience, we've temporarily removed The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the App Store to limit the game’s server capacity to its current players and address connectivity and lag time issues,” an EA statement confirmed.

“If you’ve downloaded the game, you can continue to play. Actually, your experience should only improve as we work on a solution. As soon as we have resolved these issues to handle greater player capacity, we will return The Simpsons: Tapped Out to the App Store so that even more people can enjoy this ‘life-ruiningly fun’ game.

“Meanwhile, thanks to everyone for their patience, and we will provide an update as soon as we have more information to share.”

We will have to wait and see if the App gets to return or not...
