Just after 'OMGPOP' game beat Zynga's most popular ones... looks like they couldn't leave things like that.

Zynga Inc is buying OMGPOP, maker of the popular video game 'Draw Something' for about $200 million... and its their biggest acquisition to date.
Social gaming giant Zynga just bought the company behind the popular Draw Something iOS/Android game, OMGPOP. The price tag? $200 million, being the biggest acquisition by Zynga.
How popular is that game?
In the six weeks since "Draw Something" has been the market, it has garnered more than 35 million downloads and risen to the top of the app charts on Apple and Android in 84 countries, according to Zynga.
Here's the OMGPOP comments about the acquisition:
"I want to thank our players, our fans, everyone who's ever drawn something. You've made this game into something truly special. Zynga offered us a chance to focus on Draw Something -- they know the power of the game and they planned with us how to let it keep rolling in the same fun, irreverent, social way that it has been. That was really important to us," Dan Porter, CEO of OMGPOP said in a statement. "The game will stay true to you and what you love, and it's my solemn vow that the magic of Draw Something will not change. I know without a doubt that Zynga is the right partner for OMGPOP."
Is OMG just an "overnight success"? Seems not:
Some will spin OMGPOP as an "overnight success," given the rise of Draw Something. It's true that the title launched just six weeks ago and climbed with incredible rapidity to an estimated 30 million daily players, bringing in a rumored $250,000 each day. But the truth is that OMGPOP has been creating simple realtime social games for several years.
Zynga shares closed about 2.5 percent, or 33 cents higher, at $13.72 per share on Wednesday.
