Some folks have discovered that the new iPad is not fully charged when it shows the 100% number on the screens

It appears that "problems" with the new iPad are everywhere but mostly are due to its popularity and the endless test all the people performs on it.

Several reports suggests that when the iPad reachs its 100% charge level, or at least when the icon states that, the battery is not fully charged and needs at least one more hour to full entirely.

According to Displaymate tests:



Note that the batteries do not actually reach full charge when 100% is shown and need up to an extra hour before the charging actually stops.

All iOS products continue a trickle charge after reaching 100% (discharging a small amount and recharging) to keep battery at optimal level:
