Could this 'project' ever see the light of day?

According to a 'review' by website AnandTech, Apple is 'designing' a physical game controller for iOS devices...
Seems AnandTech knows something we don't. In their New iPad review, they said Apple is making a physical game controller for iOS devices...
That's according to AnandTech, which claims in its new iPad review to have been informed of "an internal Apple project to bring a physical controller to market".
However, they add the following: "whether or not it will ever see the light of day remains to be seen."
With Google already supporting wired and wireless controllers for its Android OS, Apple could already be planning to implement something similar...
Not only would a similar move by Apple make existing 3D games like Grand Theft Auto 3 more playable on iOS devices, but with the technical capabilities of iOS platforms rapidly approaching those of home consoles we can expect to see a new generation of more advanced games on Apple products in the coming years.
Epic Games told us in February that it's "constantly pushing" platform holders to make their next-generation consoles as advanced as possible "because if they don't, Apple will go right past them".
This could be pretty big if true!
