The original 'True Blue' dongle has been on the market since early Oct. of last year, but a number of copies of the 'True Blue' have appeared under various names

The first clone that appeared was the JB-King device and later on the cheaper JB2USB appeared, even tho they might be able to play most of the current games released by 'Paradox' there is alot that the clones have not figured out, and the 'True Blue' developement team have recently issued the following 'warning' on their official website:

A warning to those considering or having already purchased a True Blue clone: we have previously implemented special anti-clone technology in the True Blue firmware which accurately detects clones and when such a clone is detected, will activate one of several effects at random intervals, such as erasing the internal PS3 HDD. The recent JBKing 2.5 software update is especially affected by these measures; anyone using this clone will be subject to data loss as a result of random HDD erasure as well as other effects. Other anti-clone measures are now being developed and will be deployed shortly.

Clones of True Blue will be blocked and future EBOOT's will not function with such devices. It is therefore important that users, in the interests of enjoyment and to avoid wasting money on trivially detectable clones, should purchase only original True Blue devices.

Seriously though, shame on anybody who's ever bought one of these things, I mean sony do deserve anything that comes their way, but I would never lower myself to support such a group. Now even more so with this "terrorist" tactic that they are employing... the fecking hypocrisy in this matter is absurd.

sony deserve everything they get, when erm sony took action to prevent hackers (in which case so far has won we are still stuck on 3.55) and the TB team are taking worse action than sony did, at least sony gave you trolls (half of you are just fanboys jumping on the wagon just to b1tch) to update, you are now forced if you "chose" to buy another dongle other than TB if they get a fix for a game TB dont your entire HDD will be erased.

just goes to show that people do not want their work to be stolen, which is exactly the same view sony had, they didnt want people to steal and pirate any game they wanted on the PS3, fact is, the action sony did was far more effective, Nintendo fails everytime to prevent piracy so do MS, everything they do to block gets hacked.... yet sony have actually got a system thats more capable of preventing pirates.

i wonder if this is also why so many trolls b1tch, i mean if you buy a console and want to pirate admit it, i do, dont hate a system because it blocks you.

or if you dont pirate (which i know loads never admit to but still cry because they paid £300+ for a system and all they want to do is run retro emulators) and you just play orrigional games then youll have no problems which then swings back to fanboys b1tching just for the sake of it.

WOW! This is just disgusting, I have never seen this type of behavior out of any group from any scene I've participated in in the last 10+ years of modding electronics. I would never support such a group and would never spend a penny on their device even if it is the only device out on the market. **** even if i got one for free i would PISS on it! This is despicable and is just backwards of how a "scene" in supposed to work. I am glad to say I have never bought in to these companies that profit from piracy, as I am a huge supporter of Free and Open Source! I'm sorry to say I will not to following the PS3 scene anymore, I will not participate in such a rapacious, extortionate scene that will soon devour itself.

erm contradicting sets of tw@ts if you ask me, they shouldnt be adding such features that erases HDDs in the risk of the CFW having a bug and accidently wiping your drive, they should simply ensure that the eboots are only functional with the TB dongle or that the CFW simply will not detect other piracy dongles that are pirating TB piracy hacks.

and yet fanboys blindly want to hate sony, erm i guess this is something that sony should have sat back and let happen, i mean hackers are now putting your console at risk of formatting your drive. not to mention what the other implemented features are which could be worse.

lets see how many people start crying to sony expecting them to fix their ps3 because the TB hackers have screwed their consoles up, because we know (ive seen plenty of times in my shop) people using or trying to use hacks and has fecked up the console and wants to return it and make out that they did nothing it broke by itself, i then take the HDD and hey ho look at all this data found when the HDD has been repaired, funny how 9/10 never come back to collect the console once you mention the cause and it would have to be sent to sony.

Well there s good and bad from this.
the good is that after this firmware they will continue to release eboots
the bad is you're actually better off with a clone because when theycrack the firmware these checks will be removed and your system will be safe

sorry pal you got it wrong, these clones aka JBK is the same as PS3UserCheat all they do is steal from other sites aka TB patches, hack them to work on their clone dongle and take credit for the hacks.

Theyve never made a CFW, id also avoid these clones at all costs because like PS3UserCheat they cant be ar5ed to even update their site properly, plus the forum is dead with no official staff to support its customers.

Actually both clones have the same amount of personal support as true blue.... none.
Likewise both clones have a chip to reflash firmware in case it bricks... which is better than true blue... and is also why the are able to crack every firmware update.
Whether they are stealing true blues work is moot mate. In the long run it is safer on both accounts.
Especially if erasing your hdd is now an issue. That stuff wont be in the clones crack.
Doesn't mean its right but none of this is right as its all piracy.

They are preparing some nice virus to implement on the eboots :cool:. In the next round of eboots, remember that True Blue team is putting malicious code on your PS3, trough their eboots released. Some hardware fault and ziiiiiiiiip.... there´s go your PS3 HDD :rolleyes: .

Honestly, the duality is incredible... I hate sony as much as the next guy, but if it's not ok for them to DRM us into submission, then these true blue clowns have even less rights to do so.

DRM blows, regardless of who is trying to sneak it into our machines.
