An amazing Frogger hack from Tyler DeAngelo offer us the possibility of playing with the real-time traffic of New York.
The great and old Frogger is being hacked to offer us real-time traffic from a New York street, the 5th Avenue.
5th Ave Frogger includes cars and trucks from the real New York street, tracked via webcam and turned into 8-bit obstacles for us to avoid in the game. The game has been developed by Tyler DeAngelo, he's been charting the game progress in the 5th Ave Frogger blog documenting the game's car scanning technology, day and night modes and giant rats.
According to DeAngelo:
"This year is Frogger's 30 (ish) birthday. To celebrate, I wanted to imagine what Frogger would be like if it was developed today."
